How we got here. . .

Our Story

Join us as we take you on a brief journey of how we got to this point

  • How We Met

    2019

We first met at the 2019 Love Never Fails Regional Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses, the last in-person convention before the outbreak of COVID-19. It was totally an unexpected encounter; we happened to be sitting around the same area all three days of the convention and it was finally on the third day that the groom first iniated a conversation with the bride. It was from that point that we got to notice each other.

  • In A Relationship

    2020

While becoming acquainted as friends, we coincidentally found out that our families actually knew each other! The groom was a close family friend of the bride's aunt and the bride's sister had met the groom at their congregation meeting before. We realized how truly small the world was after all. After getting to know each other for some time, we decided to give a relationship a shot.

  • Got Engaged

    2022

Having known each other well enough and being in a serious relationship for a sufficient time, it was obvious that things were gonna progress even further. The groom finally proposed and the wedding preparations started and now we're getting set to officially make Jehovah the Third Cord in our relationship. You can watch the proposal video as you scroll down in this wedsite.

ATTENDANCE

Although we love all of our dear family members, friends and well-wishers, unfortunately we cannot accommodate everyone due to venue restrictions and our desire to keep the occasion as intimate as possible. Kindly corporate with us by only attending if you've received a direct invitation from either the bride or groom, and do not come with more than the indicated person(s) on your invitation card. This will enable us ensure that things are kept under control and the occasion goes as planned.
Please note that if you've not received an in-person invitation, it doesn't in any way mean that we do not care about you or view you as less important. It has actually been quite difficult trying to decide whom to invite in person or whom not to. We truly hope you can forgive us and not take it personal. In other cases, it is impractical for some to attend in person. Also, being imperfect, we may simply have forgotten. If you wish to, you can join us via zoom with the details below, which is available for everyone.

SPRAYING OF MONEY

As Jehovah's Witnesses, we earnestly strive to follow the Bible's standards, such as that highlighted in Matthew 6:1-4 which encourages us to give gifts in private, not "in front of men to be noticed by them." In harmony with that principle, we do not spray money at any point during the occasion, including when dancing. (See also 1 John 2:15, 16) Please also cooperate with us by following this arrangement. If you would like to offer monetary gift, you may accept an envelope from any of the attendants that day. This announcement will be repeated at the start of the reception.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
